Dear Graduation Guests,
I have received any number of questions about the dress code for Friday’s graduation ceremony, so here are a few guidelines:
- Please wear:
- the nicest pair of pants you own (no holes)
- a nice top (more than a t-shirt/no cleavage or belly showing)
- shoes you can comfortably walk in from the front parking lot to the gym (back of facility)
- longer dresses are also okay to wear, so long as they meet *all* dress code requirements
- Ladies: since this is an all-male prison, please do not wear sheer (see-through) material or skin-tight clothing that leaves nothing to the imagination
- QUICK CHECK: sit down in your graduation outfit of choice – “if you can see your knees, pick another outfit please!”
The Warden has already said that he will be enforcing the dress code for graduation, so if you are at all unsure about your outfit, please pack a second “grandma conservative” outfit in your car just in case … I don’t want anyone being told they can’t attend graduation because of an outfit, so let’s all agree to fix this NOW.
