Effective immediately, TDCJ will scan all general mail (written correspondence, greeting cards, drawings and photos) for electronic-only delivery to each guy’s tablet. From TDCJ’s site:
All general inmate mail must be addressed using the inmate’s commitment full name, TDCJ number, and unit of assignment to the digital mail processing center for scanning and electronic distribution.
Please send all U.S. Mail for inmates to:

Inmate’s Full First and Last Name + TDCJ Number

Dallas, TX 75266-0400
Said another way, all general mail received at the Unit will be returned to sender.
