We started out with a successful class of Toastmasters
International. This course is helping us improve our speaking skills in front
of people. It will help us a lot in our upcoming event where we will be pitching
our business ideas in front of many executives.

Computer
lab was next on my list for the day. During this time we worked on a variety of
computer programs such as PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. As we
worked on bettering our skills at these programs, we all discussed the upcoming
event on Friday. Overall, today was another successful day in PEP.

Ruben
G. Then we
prepared for a day in our beloved computer lab. Today we spent our time wisely
and finished up our computer lessons in Microsoft Excel before we began
building a PowerPoint presentation.

The skills we are learning
will help us in our future. We have learned the ins and outs of Microsoft Word,
and now we are learning Microsoft PowerPoint. As a whole, the class is moving
right along, and our eyes are focused on the goal of completing the Prison
Entrepreneurship Program.

John
C. Our Spring
2020 class attended our Entrepreneurship class, where we started to review Chapter
12, entitled “Building the Business and Establishing Operations.” Jose C. is a
wonderful teacher

These lessons are very
motivating and inspiring. The wisdom and knowledge we are gaining will help us
in our future. I truly appreciate this amazing opportunity to be part of PEP. It’s not just any
day either. This was the day of our Business Plan Workshop event. Today we got
to ask the questions we’ve been thinking about for the past couple of months.
Today we will identify flaws in each of our business plans.

We had
to figure out how we would ask Amy B., Bart H. and Cindy B. these tough
questions. Just the thought of it made us nervous. Fortunately, PEP has
introduced us to Toastmasters International and these 10 Driving Values. They
have instilled a confidence we never knew existed in us all. As we walked in
the gym and saw Brigit H., Chuck H. and Erick G., we could only thank God and
smile because this is only possible in PEP.

Julian P. As a result, we end up taking things for
granted and overlooking any good in our lives. I would like to encourage all of
my PEP brothers to ask themselves this question: “Where is your focus: on the mud
and dirt, or on the stars?”

Jacob E.
