We practice in front of an audience to improve our\nspeaking skills so we can learn how best to convey our thoughts to executives\nor employers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By doing this, our\nspeaking skills are becoming clearer, more concise and proper. Skills acquired\nhere will ultimately enable us to land that perfect job or attain financial assistance\nrequired for starting our own businesses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>Marvin P. (a.k.a. \u201cMr. Burns\u201d)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuesday, January 7, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSpring \u201920 turnout!\u201d We\ngot called out today to practice our business plan pitches. It\u2019s always\nexciting to get called out, because every experience in PEP is a surprise. It\ntruly was a blessing to watch each other overcome the fear and nervousness of\npublic speaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We, the Visionaries of Spring\n20\/20, are staying focused to the mission at hand to become a generation of\ninnovative entrepreneurs. We will stay focused to finish strong. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>Mark\nC. (a.k.a. \u201cLittle Caesar\u201d)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wednesday, January 8, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today\nwas a very busy day for Spring \u201920. In the morning, we were shown an\ninformative PowerPoint presentation on how to plan our business brochures, as\nwell as how to design our marketing strategy for our business plans. All of the\npieces are coming together, and it is clear that everyone is growing as\nindividuals and potential entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the\nafternoon, we attended Entrepreneurship Class, which is taught by Jose C., who\nmight arguably be one of Spring \u201920\u2019s favorite teachers due to his quick wit,\nsense of humor and undisputed business know-how. We reviewed Chapter 11, which\ngave us a better understanding of marketing, and then we took a test on the\nprevious chapter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>Celso\nR. (a.k.a. \u201cRicky Ricardo\u201d)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Thursday, January 9, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today\nwe practiced our business pitches in front of the class in preparation for the\nevent on Friday. Everyone has come a long way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many\npeople have never had to speak in front of a large group before. Everyone is\nputting in his best effort. It will be great to see our practice pay off later\nthis week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>Tyler\nP. We jumpstarted our day with a test from our <em>Living in the Village <\/em>books. Afterwards,\nwe started reviewing for the next exam. After seeing our test scores and the\nhomework that comes with a failing grade, we were motivated to study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After all that, we prepared to have our executive\nvolunteers listen to our pitches! All the brothers greeted them with open\nhearts and the respect they deserve. It was a superb experience for us. We\nremain committed to what we\u2019ve undertaken.&nbsp;\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>Lorenzo\nE. A\nspeedometer is a gauge that measures and displays the instantaneous speed of a\nvehicle. I\u2019m trying to be what I\u2019m destined to be. That\u2019s why, every day, I\nlook at how far I have come rather than how fast I am getting to where I am\ngoing. I can travel a certain distance at any speed and get there one day. Remember\nthe tortoise and the hare? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accomplishing a goal never loses its value.
