Once Toastmasters began, we were back to learning how to present a speech. We had a great speech from our brother, Robert F., which caught our attention. It really is good to hear our brothers speak, because it prepares us for our event this Saturday. Once class was over, we were given a new assignment. Even though it’s more work, the assignment came with a calculator to help us, which will also save us time doing the math for our commissary lists.

Joseph A. We learned about the Economics of One Unit (EOUs), which shows the profitability of one unit of your business. Terms like “sales,” “cost of goods sold,” “overhead” and “break-even point” were brought to our attention. All of this is important because these are what goes into your income statement, sometimes called a Profit & Loss Statement, which of course is very important to an entrepreneur. The end result: your net profit and Return on Investment (ROI), which are a vital part of business. As our business skills develop, we continue to march forward in as Soldiers of Spring ’18.

Enrique R. We all felt good about our pitches. We really enjoyed listening to everyone’s pitches and were glad Bert S. let us practice. In addition, we were called out to the Computer Lab, and we had the opportunity to work on our Economics of One Unit (EOUs) assignments. In the beginning they were kind of hard, but with the help of our servant leaders, we got it. Overall, we had a great day with our PEP brothers.

Guillermo G. We were glad to see them leave here and venture out into the free world. Good luck, guys! Remember that you now have a support team for those rough times.
