Today is a beautiful sunny day, and because it is so beautiful, it seems to have a positive effect on everyone’s mood. Everybody seems to be in good spirits today. We spent the afternoon with Bert S. in Entrepreneurship class discussing Economics of One Unit (EOUs). It was a very informative day and everyone had a lot of good feedback as Bert S. once again amazed us with his never-ending knowledge about the business world. Today was a great day, and we hope for many more of the same. We ended the day with a wealth of information to arm us for the business world.

Today when we went to Toastmasters, the themed question of the day was, ‘’What are your favorite hobbies?” and the word of the day was ‘’structure.’. We really enjoyed ourselves in class today. Everybody is starting to get the hang of things, so we are able to have fun and relax when speaking in front of each other now.

We started class with our usual pray-in to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, then Greg P. introduced us to his former boss Darrel, the founder and owner of Metallic Products. He talked to us about how, after serving 15 years in prison, Darrel gave Greg his first chance at getting a job. Darrel shared a lot of good insight about entrepreneurship which will be very helpful for us. He also shared how he is coping with his addiction to alcohol. He even told us that he had 89 days of sobriety. In all, it was great meeting Darrel and hearing his testimony. May God bless us all!

T.G.I.F.—with PEP in full swing, everyone is looking for some time to rest and catch up. This week culminated with our guest speaker and executive volunteer, Corey P. Business plans were run through the financial wringer, as Corey P. helped us through the numbers to see if we had a viable financial plan. Corey P. promised to keep it lively and interactive, and he did just that. We hope to take him up on his offer to come back again. Before our Pitch Day event, we need to schedule him in and make time in our busy schedules. Hoorah!

“To the world you may be just one person, but to one person you may be the world.”
~ Josephine Billings
Sometimes we may feel so small and not important, like nothing we do matters. However, someone out there loves each and every one of us. We must learn to love ourselves as well. One thing that I always tell people is that this world has nothing to offer you anyway, but with GOD in your life, you have so much to offer this world.
