Today in Toastmasters, we finished up our first speech. It was an ice breaker speech, in which we gave a brief introduction about ourselves. It was a chance for us to get our feet wet speaking in front of others, some of us for the first time. We were confronted with the challenges of overcoming our fears and nervousness when public speaking.
We look forward to our next meeting and remain optimistic in giving our next oration. We hope that in our efforts, we will get better each time we stand at the lectern. We embrace this opportunity in developing our skills and becoming professional entrepreneurs. Merry Christmas!

Today we worked as a team to take part in helping one another stay focused. Sometimes it’s hard to change or exchange old habits for new ones. In doing so, we better our chances at greatness. As brothers, we listen to one another, seeing that we all want the same thing.
One PEP brother will more than likely influence 10 other people, and as such, each of us is avidly pursuing betterment of self. We are PEP, and we are a part of a revolution that will change the world.

We of Spring ’20 have really learned a lot about deciding how to select which business opportunity we wish to pursue. We’ve also learned a lot about what it will take to be a successful entrepreneur, including how to overcome the risks. We are currently focusing on prior experience, triggers, support, family and much more. This is all thanks to the amazing Entrepreneurship class we were blessed to attend today.
Spring ’20 is really putting forth a lot of effort into this program. We are striving for success daily. We can, we will, and we must be successful. I’m excited to see what we will accomplish as a class. Spring ’20, as a whole, will make a difference.

The class of Spring ‘20 was given the opportunity to start computer lab today. We were all presented with the gift of learning the fundamentals of using and understanding how to properly utilize Microsoft Office. We can all really benefit from this class.
We were shown how to type, use the keyboard and save everything we worked on. Overall, it was fun and we all enjoy the knowledge that this class provides. We are all truly blessed to have this at our disposal.

It was so nice to finally have a day off from a class setting. It was refreshing to be able to have outside recreation and enjoy fresh air. Just because there was no class doesn’t mean work and progress stopped. Many of my classmates were studying their Entrepreneurship textbook inside the pods (dorms). We were all enjoying free time in some form or fashion. Some of us were planning to have what we call a “pod spread” which consist of coming together in brotherly love, while putting a mixture of edibles together over the weekend.
Since we have a Toastmasters class on Monday, the ones scheduled to speak are currently working on their speeches. We help each other practice our speeches to get early feedback before the actual presentation day. All in all, today was a fairly low-stress day, and it’s a good thing because after this week, we’re all looking forward to another break.

At the family Christmas gathering each year, my aunt Doris would read us the story of Christ’s birth. In the story, a multitude of heavenly hosts appeared before a group of shepherds and announced the birth by proclaiming, “Peace on earth and good will towards man.” As I watch the chaos that unfolds each Christmas season, I can’t help but wonder what happened to this concept.
In the hustle and bustle of the holidays, its true meaning is diminished. By the time the average person is done making arrangements and purchasing all of the necessary gifts, tempers are on edge, lines of communication are frozen and spirits are fatigued.
How can we hold presents in high regard for their monetary value when the greatest gift that we will ever receive was found in a manger, amongst animal manure? This year, let us give gifts that truly matter: gifts of listening, compliments, affection, validation and laughter. Make it a truly special Christmas!
