Week 11

Week in Review

Monday March 20, 2017

Monday started out with an early morning meeting of all accountability leaders from every pod. Things went smoothly and no one had any incidents, which is always a good thing. From what I hear there is a lot of love flowing through the pods. The new guys are being shown the ropes with Toastmasters in some of the pods and have been given the opportunity to speak to get a feel for what they will be doing in the months to come.

This morning Spring ‘17 had computer lab and library time. Some of us received information from our business advisors, and some of my brothers are still waiting. Also, we are working hard to finish all of our computer lessons. That way we’ll have more time for our market research. There is never too much information when it comes to gaining knowledge. We finished up before lunch which was pretty good timing – go Kings!

After lunch we headed to Toastmasters for another session. We all are getting better at speaking in public and are learning how to use our body language to express ourselves. Kings of Spring ’17, let’s continue to push hard all the way to the finish line. We have made it this far, and we have much further to go in this new way of life.

Tuesday                                                                                                      March 21, 2017

We just had Etiquette Night with some of the executives. That was pretty cool, and everyone had a good time eating with the executives, making sure nobody made a faux pas. Some of the executives, as well as my brothers, were learning to dine correctly. There are a bunch of different rules about how to eat properly, and they do not include just mixing it all together and shoveling it in your mouth.

We also played “Etiquette Jeopardy,” which of course the Kings of Spring ’17 conquered. The information we received from Coleen R. was great, and we definitely don’t want her “poofing up” on us at a social event, such as dining, entertaining or traveling. We only have two-and-a-half months left till graduation, and only two events until the Business Plan Competition (BPC). Gentlemen, stay on top of your studying and keep researching, because all this leads to the greatness we all have inside of us. We all have the potential to be great entrepreneurs, so please take advantage of this time and PEP’s resources.

It is amazing to look at how much we are all growing. We are becoming a close-knit brotherhood, always striving to be the best and better than what we were yesterday. Continue to improve with constant dedication, brothers! We are the Kings of Spring ’17!

As we approach graduation, the Kings of Spring ’17 are starting to feel a sense of accomplishment. As we are more than halfway done, we can finally see the finish line. With each day that passes we are that much closer to the mark that patiently waits for us. The time has certainly flown by and we are all so excited in anticipation of what awaits us.

We know that once we cross the finish line, that is when our real journey will begin. The tools that have been given to us are the tools that will help us reach our desired destination in life – that will be different for each of us, for we each have our own vison of success. We are now learning to lead as kings, and as kings we will rule our lives, no longer bound by our boyish short-comings.

Through the existence of PEP’s Driving Value called having a “Fresh Start Outlook,” we are now free men, free from our pasts, and the future has never looked so bright. PEP has created endless possibilities for all of us. Our efforts and our growth will stand tall on graduation day.

Thursday March 23, 2017

As we come closer to the end of Bert S.’s class lectures, some of the weight on our shoulders will be lifted. Then we can focus on improving and perfecting our pitches for Pitch Day and BPC. We have all been working on our pitches, preparing to put our “best pitch forward.”

The Kings of Spring ‘17 have been tremendously motivated to keep going to the top, no matter how hard it’s been. We are a brotherhood of men who help and uplift each other because we are servant-leaders full of love. We have reached and surpassed many goals that we set, and it’s a great feeling of success.

Through the trials and tribulations we will not stop moving forward. United we stand, divided we fall. If we don’t struggle, then how can we know that we have succeeded? It’s always a struggle to get what you want. That’s what makes life more interesting. Life is full of surprises and opportunities; PEP is one of them that we know is a blessing to be a part of. We are PEP!

We the Kings of Spring ’17 are getting closer to our graduation day on June 2. Families are getting ready and excited over all our hard work and accomplishments. We are officially three-quarters of the way done with class. Congratulations on making it this far! Keep up the hard work.

Today we met two of our beloved Family Liaisons to get us and our families ready for this special graduation day. As many of you know, some of us will be blessed with family and the rest will be blessed with friends. So gentlemen, let’s make sure our families register online at family.pep.org before the April 27th deadline. Please remind your families to sign up right away.

We want to thank the Family Liaisons for all their hard work and taking the time to sit with us and make things easier for us and our families. Thank you! – without the Family Liaisons none of this would be possible.

Expressions

“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”

~Winston Churchill

Remember that there is no victory without war. To be truly successful we have to put aside our selfishness and put the needs of others before our own, always leading by example. Great leaders do not stand before their men, but rather they stand beside their men. If we don’t take the time to do it right the first time, when will we have the time to do it over? Such is life, so take the time to do it right the first time.
