We encourage family members to keep this in mind when selecting an outfit. However, we are NOT asking anyone to go shopping for an event that lasts one afternoon, so if you do not own business professional attire, here some guidelines:<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true} -->\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">DO NOT WEAR ALL-WHITE CLOTHING OR WHITE TENNIS SHOES.\u00a0<\/mark><\/strong><\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\n\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Please wear the nicest pair of pants you own (<strong>NO HOLES<\/strong>) and and a nice top <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">(<strong>more than a t-shirt\/no cleavage or belly showing when arms are raised)<\/strong><\/mark>; ladies can also wear long skirts or dresses (at least mid-calf).<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\n\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li><strong>No sleeveless tops or any sheer (see-through) material allowed. Any form of clothing where knees are showing\u00a0<u>when<\/u>\u00a0<u>seated<\/u> is prohibited.<\/strong><\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\n\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Closed-toed shoes are preferred; open-toed shoes are acceptable, as long as they are not flip-flops.<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\n\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>Ladies, please remember that this is an all-male prison \u2026 so for everyone\u2019s sake, please do not wear skin-tight clothing that leaves nothing to other inmates\u2019 imagination.<\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\n\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\n<li>QUICK CHECK: sit down in your graduation outfit of choice \u2013 <em><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">if you can see your knees, pick another outfit please!<\/mark><\/strong><\/em><\/li>\n<!-- \/wp:list-item --><\/ol>\n<!-- \/wp:list -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":1} -->\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lodging Recommendations<\/h1>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>We recommend staying at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.choicehotels.com\/texas\/alvarado\/comfort-inn-hotels\/txf48\">Alvarado\u2019s Comfort Inn &amp; Suites <\/a>400 Village Park Drive Alvarado, TX 76009 (817) 783-2900.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":1} -->\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where do I park?<\/h1>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>When you arrive at the Estes Unit, please park on the left-hand side of the lot.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Lock your car\u2014unlocked vehicles on TDCJ property will be towed. As a reminder, you may stand in line at the front door up to 5 minutes prior to your assigned check-in time, which will be assigned to each family by Monday, October 19 (10\/19\/26). Each graduate has labored toward this goal for months \u2014 and only the strongest have made it through! These men have formed a unique bond while in prison, and they have each carried one another through the immense challenges presented by both life in prison and the experience of our Business Plan Competition. Please share in the joy of our community and applaud everyone\u2019s accomplishments. Sadly, there will be some men whose families could not \u2013 or would not \u2013 join them for this special day.
